Module 1 – Job Search
The purpose of this module is to educate and assist students through the process of searching for a job. The module includes both a lecture type format, as well as activities to assist them in applying for jobs.
Module 2 – Networking
The purpose of this module is to equip students with the knowledge to network appropriately and effectively. Specifically, students will gain skills in communicating with others and how to network via internet.
Module 3 – Resumes
The purpose of this module is to provide students with an understanding of the importance of resumes and how to create a positive impression on paper. The students are provided with resources to help them create a well crafted resume.
Module 4 – Interviews
The purpose of this module is to provide students with the skills to be confident and excel at interviewing for a job.
Module 5 – Navigating HR
The purpose of this module is to educate students on the role human resources plays in the workplace and how, as new employees, they can navigate the information and benefits HR can provide them.
Module 6 – Dressing For Success
The Dressing for Success module explores key concepts in appropriate attire and accessories in networking and interviewing for jobs.
Module 7 – Time Management
The purpose of this module is to provide students with resources and skills to help them manage their time and their stress.
Module 8 – Business Cards
The purpose of this module is to inform students of business cards and how to use them effectively. Specifically, the content in this module will help students create appealing business cards and how to present their business card to people in their field.
